My Chant For English Class .-.

Chant: A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare
Several centuries ago
Demetrius was Lysander’s greatest foe
They both fought for Hermia’s hand in marriage
They wanted to sweep her away in a carriage.

Egeus was Hermia’s dad
At Titania Oberon was mad
Egeus wanted Hermia to marry Demetrius
And Oberon made Titania fall in love with a donkey, how curious!

Hermia and Lysander plan to escape Athens
And marry at Lysander’s aunt’s house, but not in the kitchens
But they make a mistake of telling their plan to Helena
Helena informs Demetrius of the elopement, so much drama.

Egeus was Hermia’s dad
At Titania Oberon was mad
Egeus wanted Hermia to marry Demetrius
And Oberon made Titania fall in love with a donkey, how curious!

Puck, Oberon’s merry servant, spread a love potion
Onto Titania’s and Lysander’s eyelids it went, a devious action
The first person they see when they wake up will be their love at first sight
It’ll be like they’re seeing the person, or donkey, in a whole new light.

Egeus was Hermia’s dad
At Titania Oberon was mad
Egeus wanted Hermia to marry Demetrius
And Oberon made Titania fall in love with a donkey, how curious!

Lysander and Demetrius end up falling in love with Helena
But Puck fixes his mistake and Lysander is back with Hermia
Oberon feels bad for Titania and undoes the love potion’s effects
Lysander and Hermia marry and so do Demetrius and Helena with no one that objects.

Egeus was Hermia’s dad
At Titania Oberon was mad
Egeus wanted Hermia to marry Demetrius
And Oberon made Titania fall in love with a donkey, how curious!
